In this class and collective action, Plaintiff alleged that her former employer, Defendant Wells Fargo Bank, violated state and federal labor laws by requiring certain nonexempt bankers to work off-the-clock during the company’s designated “call nights.” The case was later consolidated with two later-filed actions, and after several years of litigation, the parties reached an agreement to settle the claims of 28,463 personal bankers, business banking specialists and premier bankers for $27,500,000.

Plaintiff alleged that Defendant Walmart Stores, Inc. violated Nevada law when it required her and other hourly employees to work in excess of eight hours a day without overtime compensation. Plaintiff contends that this was due Walmart’s practice of shift jamming, in which employees were required to work shifts beginning less than 16 hours after the end of their prior shift. Following years of protracted litigation, the case settled for $8,700,000.

This case was brought on behalf of consumers who purchased dog treats imported from China, or that were manufactured with ingredients imported from China, that contained trace residues of unapproved antibiotics. As part of a $6,500,000 settlement, Defendant Nestle Purina agreed to pay class members’ reasonable documented expenses relating to the purchase of tainted dog treats. The company also agreed to undertake and continue certain quality assurance practices.
